Cresteds are great dogs for people who suffer from

arthritis, asthma, fibromyalgia, and several other disorders

and diseases. They are hypo-allergenic and are like having a

little living heating pad.

We breed quality Chinese Cresteds. Our Chinese Cresteds

are AKC registered.

All of our dogs have Champion Bloodlines. We do have show

prospect puppies as well.

The Chinese Crested breed is my absolute favorite. They are intelligent dogs and tend not to be barkers. Great choice if you are looking for a toy breed.

The hairless Chinese Cresteds are a regal breed. The hairless crested is excellent for allergy sufferers and people who suffer with arthritis. You just don't have to worry about them shedding! LOL! People who suffer with the pain of arthritis can find some relief with the Hairless Chinese Crested. Their bodies are very warm to the touch. They are like having a heating pad that loves you back. My true hairless, Polly, loves to lay around my shoulders, she's my little neck warmer.  Yes, the hairless do require sun screen, so that they will not become sun burned. They also need lotion put on their skin to prevent dryness. You can also clothe the hairless Chinese Cresteds. My male hairless prances around the room when his clothes come out of the dryer. He can hardly wait for me to put them on! It is so funny, and he loves it. They are great fun, and definitely a head turner!

The powder puff Chinese Cresteds are not big shedders, so they are a good choice as well. Powder puffs do have a double coat which requires daily brushing. I shave down my powder puffs in the summer.  The powder puff cresteds are very friendly with just about everyone. They love to play and be loved on.

The Chinese Crested breed are excellent lap dogs. My cresteds love to sit in my lap while I'm on the computer. They also love car rides. They are wonderful with respectful children. Toddlers and very young children should be taught to handle them with care. All in all I think the Chinese Crested dogs are a great addition to any household. Chinese Crested dogs originated in Africa. There are some reports that they were palace guardians, because of their elegance and gracefulness. They were also used as bed warmers and sometimes food.

They were taken by the Chinese on trading ships in the 13th century. The Chinese liked them because they were excellent ratters. That is where they received the name Chinese Crested.

In the 1700s European travelers saw the peculiar dogs in Chinese port cities. Paintings of the Chinese Crested reached European countries in the 1800s.

The Chinese Crested became an officially recognized breed by the UK Kennel Club in 1981. AKC (American Kennel Club) recognized the breed in 1991.
